Program Specialist

Hands On Shanghai – A non-profit organization that promotes volunteerism and community services is looking for someone who cares for our community and is passionate about making a difference.

As a Program Specialist, you will assist the development and management of HandsOn Shanghai’s volunteer platform, volunteer services, community programs as well as onsite implementation, leading corporate volunteer project and other tasks as necessary.  You will also participate in the strategic planning and development in support of the growth of Hands On Shanghai.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Project development and planning
  • Develop and manage community partner relationships
  • Hands-on management of volunteer program, including volunteer recruitment, trainings, teambuilding and ongoing monitoring and evaluation
  • Impact assessment, reporting, and planning

Qualifications required:

  • An understanding of volunteerism and social issues surrounding children, education, and migrant community
  • Undergraduate Major in education, sociology, civil affairs, or other CSR related
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Open-minded and flexibilty in working on different projects and circumstances
  • Able to work in team as well as independently
  • Passion and Interest in working with people
  • Ability to multi-tasking, detail oriented and good organizational skills
  • Outgoing, hardworking, and passionate about helping others.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel and Power point) and reporting ability
  • Chinese National with strong English capabilities or Foreign National with strong Chinese capabilities
  • Previous experience volunteering with NGO is a plus
